With recent leadership changes at Homes England, we recognise that members will be particularly interested in the agency’s priorities for the coming years. We are therefore delighted to welcome Ian Workman, who leads Homes England’s Social Housing, Safety and Ownership Directorate, to our Affordable Housing Network members dinner.

Ian will share insight into how Homes England plans to work with partners and registered providers to bring forward large sites, deliver essential infrastructure, and accelerate new build. Members will also have the opportunity to gain further clarity on funding and guidance under the SAHP 2026–2036, which is expected to be a key area of focus for the sector.

Mr Workman joined Homes England in 2022 following a distinguished 30-year career in the banking sector, including senior leadership roles at Barclays, Recognise Bank, and Yorkshire Building Society. He completed a master’s degree in Equity and Diversity in Society in 2024 and currently serves as a non-executive director at Newbury Building Society.

This dinner will provide an invaluable opportunity for members to engage in a considered and strategic discussion at a critical moment for the housing sector.
