ED&I is never far from the headlines, with plenty of politicians and business leaders very happy to express their opinions, and it is true that ED&I is going through a bit of a rethink in some quarters. However, leaders should not be distracted from their main focus: listening to employees to create an engaging and equitable experience for all.
In the housing sector, where representation and fairness are fundamental, leadership plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving meaningful ED&I strategies and engagement. Achieving real progress requires leaders to challenge themselves and their organisations, moving beyond surface-level commitments.
To help AHN Network members challenge their own approach, at this instructive webinar we will be joined by one of the UK’s Top Most Influential Women in Tech and an international multi-award winner for her services to Diversity & Inclusion in industry. Sheree Atcheson is a Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Senior Executive and an Advisory Board Member at Women Who Code. She is also a contributor to Forbes and the author of Demanding More (published by Kogan Page), a book that educates readers on how deliberate exclusion has shaped systems and society, emphasising the need for intentional and purposeful inclusivity.
We hope you can join for what promises to be a thought provoking session will Sheree, as we look to address:
• Challenging "traditional" leadership behaviors to create more inclusive and adaptive leadership styles.
• How leaders can move beyond performative actions to create sustainable and impactful change.
• The role of allyship in unlocking the power of diversity and fostering inclusive workplaces.
• How privilege awareness can support balanced decision-making and fair leadership.
• Embedding empathy in leadership as a key driver for organizational and people-focused success.
