Succession Planning for a CEO/CFO collaboration involves proactively identifying and developing potential successors for both leadership roles, ensuring a seamless transition of power and maintaining a strong strategic partnership even when one or both executives leave the company.
While there may be some small differences in the little details of planning for a CEO & CFO successor, the overarching principles of the horizon within which you need to operate are the same. We are lucky to be joined by two people who have been through this process, both on the CEO & CFO side, Peter Jackson, Former CEO, Hill Dickinson LLP, and James Goode, Former Group CFO for PA Media Group.
This in-person conversation will provide an interesting, combined take from CEO & CFO on important areas such as identifying potential candidates, developing/future proofing leadership ready skills, the alignment needed throughout the process by the CEO/CFO to ensure collaboration on strategic goals, and assessing the development of potential successors through leadership assessments and tailored development plans.
