This half-day online masterclass is aimed at in-house Heads of Tax and members of tax teams with a specific remit to optimise the tax operating model through technology and transformation.

Technology and transformation go hand in hand; focusing on each in isolation is unlikely to deliver the significant results that can be achieved when considered together. Changing people, systems and processes is essential to leverage the benefits of technology, but transformation is hard and has a poor track record. Transformation initiatives must be progressed with caution only when conditions are right.

Through a focus on specific business use cases, this masterclass will discuss the practice and principles behind a tax technology-enabled transformation. Attendees will deepen their understanding of how to evolve tax functions to capture data and insights and to ensure they can respond to increasing demands from tax authorities for digital filing.

This masterclass will be delivered by Geoff Peck, founder of Xyto Taxology, a consulting firm focused on transformation in corporate tax departments. Geoff lectures at the Tax Law Technology Centre at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
