Our Speakers:

Danny Harmer was appointed Chief People Officer for Aviva Plc in February 2020. She leads Aviva’s global People and Culture strategy – developing all colleagues to have the skills they need now and for the future. Before joining Aviva, Danny was the Chief People Officer at Metro Bank.

Danny holds a degree in Economics and Business Economics from the University of Southampton, is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD and was recognised as one of HR Magazine’s ‘Most Influential Practitioners’ from 2016-2022 and has been named as an FT ‘OUTstanding’ LGBT+ ally and ‘HERoes’ female role model.

Alla Bashenko is an international financial industry professional (of Ukrainian origin) with over 25 years of experience in investment banking and consulting. She had spent the majority of her career at Goldman Sachs, followed by Nomura International, where she had built and run a number of successful businesses as a frontline practitioner across a wide range of asset classes and banking products.

Alla is currently on the boards of Mitsui Bussan Commodities, inter-jurisdictional commodities price risk management firm and Chair of Audit and Risk Committees, and WTW Group’s biggest regulated subsidiary company in risk advisory and insurance broking, chairing the Enterprise Risk Management Committee. She is an avid supporter of health charities, and currently serves as a Member of the Board’s Investment, and Audit & Risk Committees at Parkinson’s U.K. charity. (Also a life-long poet and keen world explorer.
