Getting a scheme 'buyout' ready and going through the process requires some adjustment in terms of governance, resourcing and skill sets. At this time the board will be looking to the chair more than ever for direction, so this meeting has been organised to give chairs a 'heads up' on what risks look like in this context and how to manage them, what the process entails, as well as how to ensure the process is as streamlined as possible (taking into account corollary activities).
At this meeting we will be hearing from chairs who have gone through buyout and got to the other side to get their perspective. Those around the table will benefit from their learnings and what they wish they knew at the outset of the process.
