It has been confirmed that the long heralded Funding Code will apply to all valuations from 22nd September. The intention behind the new Code is to support trustees to effectively plan and manage the long-term funding of their schemes and to provide security and flexibility. This meeting will be an opportunity for Chairs of trustees to test the parameters of the new regime as they review their approach to ensure compliance. To help with this we have invited Andrew Dodd from the Regulator who has been heavily involved in the development of the code. Andrew is one of the Regulator's lead actuaries and as Head of Supervision will be responsible for implementation and regulation of the Code.
