This session has been designed to enable organisations to take practical steps to reduce their risk of fraud. It will be led by two people who spend their lives minimising fraud, Alex Rothwell, CEO, NHS Counter Fraud Authority and Stephen Peck, Criminal Investigation Advisor, at the Serious Fraud Office (SFO).
The session will cover:
• Where fraud is most likely to sit in an organisation
• What nature fraud is most likely to take
• How to take a risk-based approach
• The role that data analytics can play
• What red flags you should look out for
• What your response should look like
• When and how to call in the authorities
• What the authorities will do
The session will also touch on cultural and leadership issues and share practical real world examples, how they were identified and what was done.
