As we have seen all too tragically, conflict managed ineffectively can easily turn into destructive behaviour, destroying lives and livelihoods in the process. Yet, in a board and leadership context, if managed well conflict can also be a highly positive force for good.
Conflicting ideas, objectives and personalities can be powerful stimulants for creativity and prove strong vaccines against the dangers of “Groupthink”. Given the increased pressures, uncertainty, and volatility of the last few years, the ability to manage conflict well has become a defining characteristic for successful leaders and organisations.
This highly participative lunch and learn session will focus on managing conflict effectively in a leadership setting, learning from each other, and sharing practical ideas on dealing with a range of common and topical conflicts.
It will be facilitated by Patrick Dunne OBE, a highly experienced Chair with extensive experience of working with boards and managing conflict in Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. He is also the Author of the award-winning management book ‘Boards’.
We very much hope that you will be able to join us. Places are strictly limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so make sure you book your place early.
