Baking in sustainability from the operations up

About

Mondi, a global leader in packaging and paper, delivers products that are sustainable by design. The business is fully integrated across the value chain – from managing forests and producing pulp, paper and plastic films, to developing and manufacturing effective industrial and consumer packaging solutions. In 2019, Mondi had revenues of €7.27 billion.  Mondi is a FTSE 100 constituent and has been included in the FTSE4Good Index Series since 2008 and the FTSE/JSE Responsible Investment Index Series since 2007.  Mondi is one of just 10 companies worldwide recognised for global environmental leadership with a Triple A score from CDP.

Gladys Naylor, Group Head of Sustainability, with 23 years at the Mondi Group and a background in engineering will share their bottom-up operational and top-down strategic approach to deploying sustainability across the value chain. Ms Naylor will discuss the role of governance, robust policies and management systems in mitigating risks and leveraging opportunities related to sustainability impacts.  As an extractive industry, Mondi has taken on its responsibilities for natural resource management, biodiversity and local community engagement.  Join us for this unique discussion from one of the leaders in sustainability as Ms Naylor shares insights of how to bake in sustainability from the tree to the finished product.
