Mediation and coaching techniques to reduce conflict and strengthen workplace relationships

Workplace conflict is on the increase - this gathering storm has been fuelled by changes in people's working patterns, mental health or financial hardship. When combined with underlying issues not previously addressed by either employee or employer these tensions can quickly boil over into new and multi-faceted grievances, which can take a devastating toll on companies.

In this session our panel will explore how mediation and coaching can help to nip conflict in the bud and how senior leaders can accommodate for different communication styles when faced with changing needs in the workplace. Discussion points include:

  • addressing challenges post-furlough, dealing with tension around increased workloads and company culture
  • how organisations are building capacity for an anticipated increase in workplace conflict
  • making the best of remote and socially distanced mediation
  • minimum legal requirements of effective conflict resolution
