Change management case studies: Lloyds Bank and Rolls-Royce

About

This session will provide a fascinating insight into two of the biggest restructuring projects taking place in the UK right now and the role of the legal function in keeping these and other transformation projects on track.

From profit warnings, to activist investors, to global criminal investigations, to customer concerns: the past five years have been a challenging time for Rolls-Royce. In the midst of all of that, the company announced a formal restructuring plan! We will hear more about this as well as how the legal team has been involved in plans to make the company simpler, leaner and more agile.

In 2018, Lloyds announced a major £3 billion restructure aiming to transform their way of working, by investing in new technology and skills to drive additional operational efficiencies and improve customer experience. In this context of business transformation, our speaker will explore the management and implementation challenges of some of the large scale strategic and legal change projects which the group has also had to deal with along the way, such as Brexit, financial restructuring and sustainability.
